Tips for Maintaining your Refrigerator:
1. Clean the condenser coils. These are located on the front or back depending upon your unit. Use a vacuum or condenser brush to remove built up lint and pet hair. 2. Inspect and clean the seals. Are they torn or worn out looking? Clean them with a mild cleaner to remove any food or debris that would not allow the doors to close tightly. 3. Keep the fridge between 37 and 40 degrees Fahrenheit and the freezer at 0 degrees. Its a great idea to keep a thermometer in both your both fridge and freezer. If you notice the temps rising this may tell you something is wrong sooner rather than later. 4. If the power goes out, keep the doors closed and use foods from the pantry. An unopened refrigerator will keep food safe for four hours; a freezer will maintain its temperature for 48 hours if full and 24 hours if half-full. You can even buy dry ice and store it in your refrigerator or freezer. After all your refrigerator is a big cooler. We are continually trained and kept up to date with the latest refrigerator technology, growing and evolving with the industry.
